ABOUT ME
Kelly Young was born in 1962 and has lived all over the great province of Ontario. A graduate of the English literature program at the University of Waterloo, she moved to a small town on the shores of Lake Huron in southwestern Ontario with her husband, and together they raised two sons and a clowder of cats.
Kelly worked as a freelance reporter for many years, switching to full time reporting for the local paper, before taking herself to a much quieter bookstore. She left that position to take a job teaching swimming at her local pool, drawing heavily on her years of swim team coaching experience.

Retirement in 2018 saw the Youngs move to a small city in farther southwestern Ontario, where there is more sunshine and shopping. An avid swimmer, Kelly still swims at least two times a week.
Retirement has also taken the Youngs on many adventures! Above is a photo of Kelly at Buller Gorge in New Zealand.
The photo to the left is of her donating copies of her books to the Little Free Library in her neighbourhood.
